Roundabout Ringwood October 2017

Dear readers

After the disappointingly wet summer, we have been promised a stunning Autumn display this year which might make up for it. Arriving slightly later than normal according to the Forestry Commission, the last two weeks in October will be the best time for country walks to locations like our cover photo.

This issue sadly sees the last in our stories of rescued cats since we have published all of Patricia’s current stories. “Viewed from my Window” encompassed all the ups and downs and highs and lows of caring for stray cats and will be missed by many of our readers who are animal lovers out there – my husband for one! Patricia’s book is still available though so look for the details on page 14.

I’m sure word had gone round the local cat population that she was a really soft touch and there was always a meal and a nice soft bed on offer! Maybe we’ll be treated to the occasional feature in the future as I believe another cat has recently arrived!

October 29th sees the clocks go back so with winter approaching we can turn our attention to a few of those jobs around the house, which have probably been neglected due to the garden needing constant attention during the wet summer this year.

So if you want carpets cleaned, a chimney swept or a room decorated AND help local businesses, look in here first in the ‘Local Business Directory’ on page 46 and save yourself time, fuel and most importantly – money!
