Ringwood Arts Centre – Open evening celebrates Arts Centre’s meaningful start

Ringwood-Arts-Centre-posterTo celebrate the success of the Meaningful Start Appeal, the group behind the Ringwood Arts Centre project is hosting an open evening of free entertainment on May 10th.

In October last year Ringwood Arts Centre, a project that aims to build a multi-functional space for the town at Greyfriars next to the town library, launched an appeal to raise the money needed to begin the first stage of building work and secure their planning permission.

The appeal had great support and in only four months raised the £20,000 needed to create a ‘hole in the wall’ opening the Greyfriars Car Park. Work has now begun bringing the project one step closer to becoming a reality.

This pivotal stage would not have been possible without the help of the local community and their faithful supporters, so project organisers will be holding an Open Evening to say a big thank you and give the local community a chance to come and see what has been achieved so far… and what’s still to be done!

The Open Evening will be running from 6pm-9.30pm on 10th May and will include professional local entertainment including a set by duo Laurel Canyon, giving you a taste of what Ringwood Arts Centre will have to offer. Canapés and a cash bar will also be available. Entry is free and all are welcome.
