“I just thought I would drop you a note to say how much my husband and I enjoy staying at 'South View Guest House' on Ringwood Road, Three Legged Cross in Wimborne.  The proprietor there, Gwen Bailey, is always very friendly and helpful and the rooms (all en-suite) are always immaculate, with plenty of fresh towels, bed linen, flannels etc. 

Also the showers are lovely power showers with plenty of room to move around in the cubicles!

My husband and I always receive a warm welcome, with plenty of coffee and fresh, homemade cakes to enjoy when we arrive, always delicious and much appreciated.

It is always a pleasure as well sitting in the lovely Conservatory whilst we eat our breakfast (also lovely and Gwen will rustle up anything for you!) and look out over the immaculate gardens and watch the birds etc.

There are always nice little touches left in the guest rooms as well.  EG A nice bunch of flowers, plenty of biscuits, hot drinks etc and at Easter a small box of mini-eggs and mini crackers, sweets and other goodies at Christmas. 

We have been staying there for at least 3 years and shall certainly continue to stay there, and in fact have already booked up for Christmas and will book into next year.

“Some three years ago, I needed to find overnight guest accommodation in the Ringwood area and looking in the Rural Dorset brochure, I found South View Guest House, Ringwood Road at Three Legged Cross.

As I would be staying overnight after a heavy day's manual work, I was also looking for an evening meal - which South View showed as an option.

On a personal level, I also needed a room which was en-suite and South View offered this in all of its bedrooms. Every room was also centrally heated, had tea/coffee making facilities and a television.

First impressions are always important and in my case South View ticked all the boxes : nice atmosphere, spotlessly clean, friendly people, and excellent food.

I think most people will try anywhere for one night, but one of my key questions about any accommodation is whether I'd go back again. Since first going to South View, I have been going back about five times a year - so in my case the answer is a very big YES !!!
